Dr. Conner (a former Board Member and UAB Professor Emeritus), provided the following information. IEEE’s Ethics and Member Conduct Committee, earlier this year, identified an expert in the field of ethics who was willing to prepare and present a 45-minute lecture that would help E&CE students better understand the role of ethics in the practice of engineering and help them gain insight into how they could prepare themselves for ethical conduct in their engineering practice as well as provide E&CE faculty with ethics information that could easily be incorporated in their classroom lectures. The expert is Will Griffin, Chief Ethics Officer of Hypergiant Industries. While Will’s presentation is oriented to Electrical and Computer Engineers because of its emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, there is a great deal that applies to other disciplines of engineering. The video can be accessed via IEEE TV via the following URL. ieeetv.ieee.org/ethics-and-member-conduct...
